A hulking, one-armed Muscovite anti-czarist dissenter, exiled from the Russias for reasons unknown. Appears towards the end of King of the Vagabonds, when he rows up unexpectedly on a beach near the Bomb and Grapnel bar, owned by Mr Foote, in Dunkirk, after Jack's daring escape from The D'Arcachon costume party.
He is enlisted in the trading venture on the ship God's Wounds, become a slave and member of the cabal and subsequently works behind the scenes appearing only briefly and randomly to assist Jack's friends or attack his foes.
